Pedro Gonçalves confident in the performance of the 26 players for the CHAN Cup
Pedro Gonçalves, the Angolan national football coach, has announced a 26-player squad for the final qualifying round of the Africa Cup of Nations, which includes matches against Lesotho.
The competition will take place in 2025, with the final stage to be held in Morocco from December 21 to January 18. For these decisive matches, the coach has called up new names, with the highlights being the debuts of Soba (Interclube), Calebi Yambá (Desportivo da Huíla), Luís Manico (Maquis) and Dos Santos (Wiliete de Benguela), all in the forward line to strengthen the team. In defense, Caica (Interclube), Mabelé (1º de Agosto) and Alexandre Abel (Sagrada Esperança) are also part of the list of newcomers.
These players have the mission of ensuring Angola’s qualification for the CHAN Cup, a continental tournament for African teams, which brings together the best teams of local players.
